Completed a pool remodel with them and it went great! Communication with Amy from the start was good and then to the construction part with Ben. My backyard looks like it got a brand new pool. Great team to work with and I would recommend them 7 days a week!

I originally left a 5-star review, but after recent experiences, I feel it’s more accurate to rate this company 3 stars.
The pool build itself went fine, but the customer service after the sale has been disappointing. I recently reached out regarding cracks in my decking that developed less than 3 years after installation. I understand from the contract that cracks are not covered under the 1-year warranty, that’s not the issue. My concern was the severity and whether it could lead to larger problems over time, especially since I’ve had multiple pools over the past 20 years and have never experienced this.
I submitted two warranty requests and made two phone calls before Adam came out to look at the cracks. He told me he would speak with the owner and have him call me. After that, I had to follow up with Adam two more times before the owner finally reached out. When he did call, he questioned why I expected a call at all, which was surprising given what I had been told. The conversation felt dismissive. There was no real concern shown about the condition of the decking or my experience as a customer. The only options given were patching, which I was told I would not like the look of, or replacing the section, with the comment that it would likely crack again anyway.
On top of that, I had a frustrating experience with their in-house maintenance team. A technician entered my backyard without any notice, no call and no knock, which was uncomfortable. I believed he was there to evaluate rust stains I had previously reported, but when I asked about it, he seemed annoyed and acted as though I should not be asking questions.
Overall, this company seems to fall short when it comes to communication, professionalism, and standing behind their work beyond the initial build. If you are considering them, just be aware that the level of care and responsiveness may change significantly after the project is complete.

I cannot recommend J. Caldwell Custom Pools enough! They were recommended to us by a family friend to do a renovation and add a sun shelf. Even though we live more than 3 1/2 hours from DFW Ben made the trip out just to do our quote. Even with the long drive every crew showed up on time and worked late! You can tell that they take pride in their work and are skilled at what they do! Today Thomas and Hero came out to balance the pool and clean up debris that fell in our pool! From design with Ashley to construction, then some redesign as a whim, to start-up and opening pool day, the entire process has been smooth, friendly, accommodating and beautiful. We just finished a building a new house that included a new pool by J Caldwell Pools.   J Caldwell Pools exceeded our expectations at every step of the process.   Tanya was so helpful and knowledgeable in working with us to design our pool and pick out the finishes within our budget.  The construction crew was one of the best contractors on site.  We never had to worry about them doing excellent work on time and on budget.  Finally the checkout/commissioning crew did a great job getting the pool running and showing us how everything worked.   We are eagerly waiting for summer so we can begin using our new pool.

We purchased a home where J Caldwell installed a pool a couple years back. The pool is beautiful and works well. We recently had a minor issue and I didn’t know where to turn to address the problem, so I reached out to J Caldwell to see if they could direct me. They were wonderful - helping me immensely and immediately. Even during off hours, FaceTiming me and setting up the appropriate people to come address the issue. I could not have asked for higher touch, better customer service. Would absolutely recommend using them!! Will be using them for a future pool if we ever need!!

After waiting years we finally made the decision to build a pool. A friend recommended J Caldwell and were thrilled that we listened. Tanya Metz is a pool designer wizard and listened to everything we desired. We opted for water features they had never produced. Tanya made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Austin Tidwell oversaw the project, always on-site and ready to answer any questions. Both the pool and spa are exceptional.
